LONG STORY SHORT.

Ian Stafford shoots straight with a timeless sound and a smooth pour of country grit and outlaw attitude. He'll give you hope for a better tomorrow, and a longing for things that used to be.

"With a voice carved from the earth itself, he weaves stories of raw truth and beauty, turning the graft of life into melodies that resonate with the soul."

He was working as a bouncer and a bartender on Sixth Street in Austin, TX when he realized through dumb luck or cruel fate that he had a voice that moved the people in the room. He has found a unique sound, full of vintage warmth and outlaw angst.

Variance Magazine notes his “throwback haze," and his "crisp, translucent vocals.”

He’s been in love with classic country ever since hearing it pour out of his grandpa’s radio as a young one, and you can see its shadow in each of his songs. In a number of nowhere towns across the United States, he honed his craft.

Taking his songwriting influence from the likes of Jason Isbell and John Moreland, he states that “he tries to capture the poetry that saturates day to day life, which is so often overlooked for sensational themes that just aren’t real enough to give a damn.” He is consistently releasing good music while building a larger album.

While you won’t see him following trends,

good music never goes out of style.
